Our Mission:
Stop Sex Trafficking Now is dedicated to educating teens and young adults on the issue of sex trafficking and supporting programs in their outreach to survivors.
Our Goals:
#1) Create accessible and easy-to-understand information about sex trafficking.
In the “learn about” section, you can find details about all aspects of sex trafficking, from how it can happen, to what signs to recognize, to a glossary of important terms to know, to sex trafficking statistics in your state.
Don’t worry about having to read paragraphs on paragraphs of data, I try to make my information concise, so there is not too much writing, and you should be able to read a page fairly quickly. I have a short attention span too, I get it.
#2) Share a wide range of content in the form of blog posts.
In the “blog” section, you can find information such as…
Explanations of concepts related to sex trafficking (these won’t really cover any of the basics that can be found in the “learn about” section, but rather, things like debunking common myths)
Summaries of trafficking-related research journals (the data in these studies are super important, but reading a 30-page research study is tiring and confusing, so I figured I’d save you the trouble).
Analyses and reviews of movies/shows/books/etc that are about sex trafficking or touch on related issues
News and updates about trafficking-related current events
Information about upcoming SSTN drives, fundraisers, and more
#3) Provide ideas for engagement.
In the “how to help” section, you can find guidance for what YOU can do as a teen/young adult.
Whether you want to donate, volunteer, or just further educate yourself, there is a variety of resources available for you to choose from based on how you can and want to help. Additionally, the donate button right next to this section allows you to donate to outreach organizations directly from this site.
