Winter 2021 Drive!
Hi!
I am extremely excited to announce that SSTN is conducting a winter drive this December. We will be collecting funds and goods to support the STOP-IT Initiative Against Human Trafficking. STOP-IT is an amazing organization that offers direct services and support to sex and labor trafficking survivors.
STOP-IT offers a variety of resources and supports including
Safe shelter
Food
Clothing and toiletries
Medical and dental services
Legal services, including assistance in obtaining identifying documents (birth certificates, state IDs, etc.)
Mental health services
Transportation
Tattoo/Branding removal
Education/Employment skills development
I have chosen to support STOP-IT for multiple reasons.
It is a local organization (they have a drop-in center in downtown Chicago).
They center survivors in their work; this is demonstrated in their mission to help “survivors leave their situation and move forward on their own terms”.
SSTN may not have been created if STOP-IT didn’t exist. My mom volunteers at STOP-IT, and it was through her that I had my first introduction to the issue of sex trafficking.

If you would prefer to donate goods, you can purchase items requested by STOP-IT through SSTN’s Amazon Wishlist. The items will ship to SSTN’s headquarters to be delivered to STOP-IT.
